Community proposal: Make videos to visualize the development process

Title: Introducing Regular Developer Showcase Updates

Summary:
To enhance community engagement and transparency, we propose a new initiative where developers share regular updates in the form of short videos, showcasing code and new features. These videos will be posted on X (formerly Twitter) and the project forum every few days.

Background:
We recently saw an excellent example where Rahul | Aerius Labs @Rahul__Ghangas created a zero-knowledge proof for Solana/SVM transactions and shared a video explaining his development. This not only demonstrated his progress but also allowed potential users to see parts of the code in action.

Proposal:

  1. Regular Video Updates: Developers will record short videos explaining key developments or new features.
  2. Posting Frequency: Videos will be posted every few days.
  3. Platforms: Updates will be shared on X and the community forum.

Benefits:

  • Transparency: Keeps the community informed about ongoing progress.
  • Engagement: Builds a stronger connection between developers and community members.
  • Insight: Allows users to understand technical aspects and see real-time advancements.

Next Steps:

  • Gather feedback from the community on this initiative.
  • Set up a schedule and guidelines for developers to follow.

Totally agree! Lets do it, and we can maintain a Youtube channel for these videos.

For us ordinary users, this proposal can better help us understand the development status of the projects we are invested in. I hope the developers will fully consider the necessity of implementing this proposal.

it would be a good idea to maintain a Youtube channel regularly.

that’s correct! let’s move this forward.

This is a great idea! Does this require the users to know what’s going on?
One consideration here is that a portion of Dev’s code isn’t open-sourced.

Maybe we can create a YouTube channel for Demo, presentations and introduction videos.

Do we know someone from the community who is good at this? This will be great help!

To be honest , we are more concerned about the development process and how to make the community more involved. For the code part, the dev can use the view mode or display pseudo code.
